Summary of current status in RunControl

Frontend Control/Monitoring

• IOC on LynxOS works reliable
• implementation of "blub_lib" interface to IOC done for status and control, EPICS mechanism well understood, extensions seem easily possible
• instead of a sequencer, the control of one complete crate is done via a sseq record, works ok
• one ioc holds true for all subsystems, ioc database templates are written, substitutions for rich[012] exist and are tested
• error handling is missing
• control of the whole system (replacement for hadaq.tcl) may be done via a sequencer on lxhadesdaq
• IOC doesn't run on E7, special solution or wait for Linux?
• many more monitoring ideas, e.g. buffer fill status to detect bottlenecks like bad watermark

Database

• VOID, still completely done with tcl parameter files
• Idea about integration of DB into GUI via web browser in "kiosk" mode

GUI

• MEDM is not the perfect solution, but we will stick with it
• Automatic generation of ADL files will be necesseary
• Mix MEDM with web browser

Manpower

• is at HP Bad Homburg Monday to Wednesday next week
