 This user must also own the server process.

 The default database encoding has accordingly been set to "UTF8".

 POSTGRES_DATADIR="/data/postgresql/9.4/data"

Change to user postgres ... %CODE{"bash"}%su - postgres %ENDCODE% ... and edit the configuration file postgresql.conf:
