Overview
Scanning histograms
Once all ROOT files have been loaded, and a histogram has been selected, one can display the mean of this histogram over the files in this display. For that, click on the " Scan " button. If you want to limit your search to a range on the histogram, set this range via the " Set intervall " button. Enable 5this option with the corresponding checkbox.
Quality selection
Three levels of quality are defined: good, warn and bad. These levels are defined by two numbers, which give the limit of deviation from the mean value. Normaly these limits are symetric around the mean value, but in some cases an asymetric limit might be usefull. To set those limits, click on the " Set range " button. If asymetric limits are needed, select the corresponding checkbox, and enter the values for the lower limits.
Selecting and marking files
Once all settings are done, select the histograms via the " Select " button. The final histogram on the left, will mark all files acordingly. The colorcode is RED for bad files, BLUE for files with warning and BLACK for good files.
Printing and saving image
One can print the displayed histogram by clicking on the " Print " button. Select a printer in the dialogbox. One prints directly via the underlying LINUX Printing system.
To save the histogram as an image click on the " Save " button and select the directory where to store the file and enter a filename including the extension. The extension defines the output type. Currently supported by ROOT are the following image formats:
