HHistory configuration

To configure hhistory, a few settings have to be done by the user before he can use the programm.

Input directory

This is the directory in which hhistory looks for ROOT files with histograms. Either enter the directory, or open a dialog box via the "Select" button.

Filename pattern

This defies the pattern with which hhistory searches for ROOT files. An example for such pattertn is " *_llqa.root ".

After you have selected the input directory and the filename pattern, scann for files with histograms in the directory by clicking on the " Load files " button. The progress bar to the right of this button shows you the status of thi scanning. Wait until this has finished.

Name of Mapfile

After all selections have been done, a file with the accumulated information can be written. It will have the selected name. Either enter the name, or open a dialog box via the "Select" button. The layout of this file is descibed here.

If a map file already exists, you can load this file by clicking on the button " Load map files ". The progress of this operation will be shown by the progressbar to the right side of the " Load files " button.
