Opening angle dependence
What is the opening angle dependence of the applied cuts?
Comparison Nov02 and Aug04
The picture below shows the comparison of Nov02 and Aug04. For Nov02 a clear opening angle dependency is visible. In Aug04 it is only slight, but still is about 10% for track which fall into the same sector (below 60 degrees). In both cases an overall reduction is visible. It is about 0.87 for Aug04. This is due to the recursive way of cutting, see below.

Comparison of recursive and direct cutting
Comparison of recursive (red) and direct (black) way of cutting.
One sees that in case of the direct cut also a very small opening angle dependence is visible (below 20 degrees). At angles >160 statistics is missing. But if one looks to angles of 80 to 150 degrees one sees an increase in statistics for the recursive way of cutting and a lowering for direct cutting.

Comparison of recursive and direct cutting for experimental data
Same pictures as above, but for experimental data. Here one cannot ask that the two legs come from the same parent particle and that the same leg is reconstructed in all detectors and correctly matched.
