in the txt and excel file below, one can find comparisons between a) aug04 calculated offsets and ideal+measured corrections b) jan04 calculated offsets and ideal+measured corrections c) aug04 calculated offsets and jan04 calculated offsets

Questions

• the offsets for jan04 did improve the results for the pp analysis (checking pp elastic)
• in aug04 it is not so easy to check the calculated offsets
• c) is not 0, this results in the thought that the layer offsets at the moment mainly correct present mis-alignment
• the magnitude of layer offset corrections is of the order of the differences in a),b) and c)

DST Production

• following from Questions above: the calculated layer offsets for Aug04 are not used for the gen1 dst production (futher checks are needed)
