After a long struggle I managed finaly to create a class, that searches thru an array of strings, and returns the corresponding integer value, that is assigned to this string.

This I need to configure the persistency setting of the categories in HYDRA in my analysis program. Now it is possible to define a list of categories using the category variables that are defined in HYDRA, and they will be excluded from the outputfile.
